New Myspace Launch **Coming Soon!**

This Friday our Myspace page is going to get some much needed TLC thanks to our friends at The Otter Design.  It’s been several weeks in the making.  Make sure you check it out and let us know what you think!

Hottest Show Ever!

Our show at Awake the Lakes in Alexandria  this weekend wins the prize for our hottest show ever!  Not only was it the warmest day of the year on Saturday, but also one of the longest sets we’ve had to play (an hour and a half).  I think we were all regretting wearing black pants.  On top of that, the sun was setting right in our faces, and we were all sweating so much that the guitars and keys were dirty and slippery. 

With that said, it was a show to remember!  We had a great crowd who stayed for the whole show despite the fact they were sitting out in the sun most of the time.  And the opening band was a great group of people. 

Hope to come back again soon, Alexandria!  But we just might have to wear shorts next time.

SHASTA BLVD at Awake the Lakes on 05/29/10

SHASTA BLVD will be at Awake the Lakes Days in Alexandria, MN on May 29th.  The show starts at 4:30 at Big Ole Central Park at the end of Broadway Street by the Viking statue.  There will be events going on all weekend to celebrate Awake the Lakes, so come early to enjoy all the other festivities as well.  See you in Alex!

SHASTA BLVD at The 808 MPLS on 05/21/10

SHASTA BLVD will be playing May 21st at Minneapolis’ newest music venue, The 808 MPLS.  This is a brand new facility boasting great sound and FREE parking.  Doors open at 7:30 and music begins at 8.  Tickets are only $8 at the door!  This is a Rock/Blues night featuring us (of course) along with Inside Out and one more  band to be announced.  This is going to be an awesome show in an amazing new facility!  Hope to see you there!

SHASTA BLVD at Music on the Blacktop on 07/11/10

SHASTA BLVD will be playing at a FREE concert at “Music on the Blacktop” in Luverne, MN on July 11th.  Other featured bands include Awakening and Boiling Point. Come for some inspiration and FREE ICE CREAM!  Music starts at 6:30 in the Grace Lutheran parking lot.  In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Blue Mound Ice Arena in Luverne.

SHASTA BLVD at Lifelight Festival on 09/04/10

Lifelight is a FREE admission Christian music festival in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Featured bands include, David Crowder, MercyMe, Family Force 5, and Needtobreathe.

SHASTA BLVD at Higher Ground on 08/13/10

SHASTA BLVD will be playing at the 2010 Higher Ground Music Fest!  Mark your calendars and order your tickets now to see SHASTA BLVD and other artists such as Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Hawk Nelson. 

SHASTA BLVD plays Friday, August 13th at 12 noon.  Come for the day or reserve a place to camp out for the entire festival.

The Big Annoucement: We Took 3rd at the Battle!!!

We are proud to announce that SHASTA BLVD took 3rd place at the Battle of the Bands Finals at Club 3 Degrees!  In case you weren’t there to see us play, we’ll tell you a little bit about the night.  We played the first night of the tournamentwith 4 other bands; Boiling Point, Fades Away, These Hearts, and Tranz4merz.  The tournament ended with 5 bands playing on Saturday night; Blank Page Empire, Mark This Day, Bright Light Parade, Love Out Loud, and Hyland. 

The competition was good, but we put on the best show of our lives, according to our fans that were able to make it.  We sound checked to “If You’re Happy and You Know It”.  We were the second band to play of the night and we had only 20 minutes to impress the judges.  Apparently it worked because we were the first band called up on stage when they announced the finalists!  It was so nerve-racking waiting to hear if we’d made it or not, and the most awesome feeling when we found out we placed!  We were the only band who played the first night of the tourney to place, which felt really good.  We won some great prizes for getting 3rd place including 30 hours recording time, graphic design and marketing packaging, spa treatment, gift cards, and best of all spots to play at Sonshine, WOW Fest (which we are already playing), and LifeLight!  So make sure you come see us play at these this summer!  Second place went to Love Out Loud, and Hyland won the tournament.

Although we feel really blessed to get 3rd place, the highlight of the tournament was when one of the judges, Amy Wolter, a performance coach with Tom Jackson studios, came up to us and said “In my eyes, you won.”  It doesn’t get any better than that!

We can’t thank our fans enough for coming out and supporting us Friday night and for singing along.  We couldn’t have done it without you!
