SHASTA BLVD at Rock the Barn on 07/11/11

We’re going to be playing for the first time at Rock the Barn in New Prague on July 11th.  Rock the Barn is a fairly new music festival, this being it’s 4th year.  Here is some information about Rock the Barn:

“For those of you who don’t know about Rock the Barn let me fill you in. Rock the Barn started out as a small 6 band show out in New Prague MN in July of 2008; from there it has expanded to 8 bands, to 12 bands and this year to a whopping 14                  bands! These bands include but are not limited to Hyland, Triple Stitch, Take it back, Nineball/The savvy, White collar                  sideshow, Children 18:3, The Wedding and Bread of stone.

We are a non-profit festival funded by the community (individuals, churches and businesses). We have consistently                  grown in attendance, last year we had over 400 people!  Rock the Barn is a community outreach, our mission statement is simply “party in the barn with a purpose” that purpose being, to share the love of Christ to anyone and everyone. We want to show both kids and adults that being a Christian is more than just going to church on Sunday and that we can all have an awesome time together.”

We’re doing another Battle of the Bands hosted by the Rox in St Cloud, MN.  The first night is June 23rd.  Here is the line up of bands for the night:

7:45- James Warren

8:45- Common Crisis

9:45- SHASTA BLVD

10:45- Not One Stone

11:45- Taj Raj

12:45- Battlefish

This is a secular contest, so we are really excited to play our music to a new crowd.  See you at the Rox!

Baby Steps

We are getting closer. Closer to finishing our CD. Closer to the 3 degrees finals.Closer to summer festivals. Exciting times for sure. At this point when it seems like the CD will never come out. It seems the more we get done the more work there is to do.  I think we are all getting very excited and anxious to get it out and have everyone hear what we have been working on. Let the anticipation build up begain!  We are going to be doing more recording next week and hopefully have most of the vocals done. Once those are out of the way we can all breath a sigh of relief because all that will be left is the fun part, SOLOS. Crank it to “11″ baby!

With the battle of the band  finals coming in a few weeks or so I just want to start by saying  thank you to everyone that has come out to cheer us on in the battle. It’s not always the easiest thing to get to and some have driven a long way to be there. It really means a lot to us. So with that I want to say that we need your help now more than ever to make the finals the best show ever. Attendance points could make or break us so We Need You There!  We are talking about doing some kind of promotion like doing a drawing  so there could be something good in it for everyone who comes. Basically the more fans we have there, the more energy there is and the more the judges take notice. It makes a huge difference. Believe me you are not going to want to miss this show! We are going to be working hard to make it something special. There are some great band this year so we are going to be leaving it all on the table. Hope no one gets hurt. We will let you know about ticket pre-sales in the next week or so.
